| | Scanmaster 3i for Evo
The Scanmaster 3 is an amazing device that reads and displays information from your Evo's OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) port. The control box has two three-digit LED displays, and is compact enough to mount it on the steering column, on top of the dash, or in the center console.
It can display
- Air/fuel ratio (using car's onboard narrow-band O2 sensor)
- Timing advance
- Airflow
- RPM
- Injector pulsewidth
- Injector duty cycle
- Throttle position sensor
- Vehicle speed in MPH
- Coolant temperature
- Battery voltage
- Intake air temp at the airflow sensor
- Exhaust gas temp
It can also calculate acceleration and 1/4 mile ET. It logs to a PC or Palm device using the included serial cable, too. It stores peak values (boost, accleration, and RPM), for later display.
The Scanmaster has two external analog inputs, so you can log data from a wideband air/fuel meter and/or a boost sensor. Datalogging software for Palm devices is included.
Oh, and it checks and clears DTC ("Check Engine Light") codes.
Installation is simple; just plug in the OBD-II cable, and tap in the speed sensor wire if desired. Works with all OBD-II equipped Subaru cars.
Kit includes Scanmaster display unit, OBD-II cable, serial cable, and software on 3.5" floppy disk.
